This amazing piece of beech was found locally, and the wonderful patterns(spalting) is created by the actions of moulds that penetrate the wood as it returns to nature.   Having saved and dried this piece and turned into this gorgeous little apple, this is a true one-off unique piece and this spalting process will be different in every piece of wood.  A natural stem completes the piece. Polish lightly with soft cloth only.
